About Sally and Get Out There Adventures
Sally started Get Out There Adventures in 2020 after a transformational experience which consisted of her hiking for 17 days in the Himalayas. What she didn’t know at the time, the simple act of walking in a pretty significant landscape, enabled her mind and body to quieten and relax.
She was in between jobs at the time which meant she had nothing else to do or be. This experience changed her world and starting Get Out There was just the beginning.
She started the website out of a need to come up with inspiration to Get Out There.
We are a community which welcomes everyone, if you are a novice or an expert we hope this resource helps you to Get Out There!

About sally
Sally has adventure and nature in her blood. Born and raised in Western Australia’s South West she found a love for exploring and travelling at a young age! She loved it that much that she made a career out of it. She has over 15 years experience in the travel and tourism sector in visitor servicing, business and product development through to delivering major marketing campaigns with Tourism NT, Brisbane Marketing, Virgin Australia, Village Roadshow Theme Parks and Queensland Museum.
Over this time she has lived, worked and explored Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland along with visiting every other state for holidays. Australia is truly beautiful and she wants everyone to get out and explore what it has to offer.
Since landing in Brisbane 9 years ago, she has found South East Queensland has SO many options to Get Out There and is excited to give you this resource to help you to plan and go!
