
The key is to make the packing as easy as possible. Over the years it has taken a while to perfect this, and I’m wanting to share what I’ve learnt to make it easy for you to Get Out There.
Simply, have tubs with all the things you need ready to go so you don’t have to pack from scratch every time. Keep them somewhat separated into categories that make sense.
I keep three tubs with all of the equipment I can just grab and go. I have categorized the tubs as below and just add food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to the kit.

I also keep it simple, stupid when it comes to thinking about meals. I try not to go overboard, but also know to pack enough because once you are out there it’s often hard to find places open.
Quick easy meal ideas for camping;
- Dinners
- Stir Fry – pre-cut the veggies, onion and garlic
- Salads pre made
- Soups ready to heat
- Lunch
- Wraps or bread rolls
- Peanut butter sandwiches
- Breakie
- Cereal
- Bananas, berries etc
- Yoghurt
- Snacks
- Pre -made/brought dips
- Chips and crackers
