Booloumba Creek Day Use to The Breadknife Booloumba Falls
Located in Conondale National Park which is 2 hours north of Brisbane and is accessible only by 4WD. This trail starts at Booloumba Creek Day Use area and is approximately 19km return. The trail is clearly marked and is suitable for experienced and fit hikers. Allow 4-5hours.

If you are visiting for the day, this is a great walk departing Booloumba Creek Day Use area. It is highly recommended to camp, with Campsite 3 being the most private between camps. The trail is clearly marked where you follow the creek under lush rainforest most of the way to the cascades. After Artist Cascades the terrain is extremely steep, going up from 200m to 500m, gaining 300m in a short section. If you want to see The Breadknife Booloumba Falls, you could drive to Peters Creek and walk to the falls – this trail is 3.8km return. For a detailed map on Conondale National Park walks visit here.
Getting there:
Put in Booloumba Creek Campsite 1 into your maps, it will take you directly to the area you need to be. Otherwise, head to Melany and drive west until you reach the turn off to Conondale National park.
What do you need:
This is a great half day hike so we recommend you take plenty of food and water, along with comfortable clothing.
Hot tip:
The artist cascades and The Breadknife Booloumba Falls are beautiful waterfalls which you can swim at, so we recommend taking your swimmers!
