Beerburrum Summit

A steep trail to the top of Mount Beerburrum
3KM RETURN  ALLOW 1.5HOURS
Located in Glass House Mountain National Park in the Sunshine Coast region. Approx 1hr from Brisbane to Beerburrum Tailhead. This is a short but sweet walk up 1.5km, 3km return. This is suitable for most ages and fitness levels (grade 3). Allow up to 1.5hrs walk, take a breath and enjoy the views!
Info:

This hike is challenging on the heart on the way up but only for a short distance, the views on a good weather day are worth it. It is a sealed path all the way up, and quite steep in sections. Highly recommend shoes that have good grip. Parks map here.

Getting there:

1hour north of Brisbane located in the township of Beerburrum. Take the Bruce highway north bound, turn off at Steve Irwin way and follow the brown tourist signs to ‘Beerburrum Trailhead’.

What do you need:

It’s a short heart burner so take water and good gripping shoes. Comfortable footwear and clothing, active wear is totally suitable for this one. Hydration pack or drink bottle

Hot tip:

Look out for the weather and take wet weather gear if needed! Also there isn’t a toilet there so go before you get there!
