Albert River Circuit

The longest return walk, go out and back or return on the Border Track
21.8KM RETURN  ALLOW 7 HOURS

Located in Lamington National Park in the Gold Coast Hinterland at Green Mountain. Approx 2hr from Brisbane. 21.8km return and it’s suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Allow 7 hours.

Info:

A long walk through Lamington, it is the longest in Green Mountain (aside from Border Track which goes to Binna Burra). A great hike for those wanting to test the legs and wanting to get great views of the range. Full parks brochure and map here.

Getting here:

2 hours south Brisbane, head to Green Mountain using your google maps. The road from Canungra to Green Mountain is very windy and alot of one way, so be sure you take your time.

What to take:

Water and snacks, always. In winter also take a head touch as you could get stuck if the light disappears. Comfortable footwear and clothing. Hydration pack or drink bottle.

Hot tip:

This is the furthest within the area, you will need to hike on the Border Track to get to and from this circuit. Take a lunch and a thermos to take a break and enjoy the views.
